I plan to purchase an S8 pretty soon. I will probably order it from the Canadian Samsung website, which I presume will get my a carrier unlocked phone, however the Samsung website has very little detail as to whether it's an international version or not.
I currently live in Canada but plan to move back home to Ireland before the year is out. So I'm basically wondering if I invest in an S8 here in Canada, will it work when I get home and am using an Irish SIM card?
I read somewhere about making a 5 minute call once you move continents and that should unlock it... but then I'm not sure if the Canadian version will support the bands/frequencies in Europe.. I'm a bit clueless to be honest.
