When I am on a call, especially with my bluetooth headset, the screen should time out and sleep but recently it started waking up constantly. It still tries to sleep, but something keeps waking it up immediately once it goes dark. This behavior just started a week ago. It constantly times out, tries to sleep, and is immediately gets awakened. This has obviously impacted my battery significantly.
The same thing happens when priority alerts (think calendar notifications) are active. Once the alert happens the screen correctly comes on, and eventually times out. Once it goes dark it immediately turns on again. It again times out and immediately turns on again as soon as it turns off. This continues perpetually until I dismiss the alert.
I have tried testing the proximity sensor and it is apparently behaving correctly. I have also uninstalled any new apps. Can anyone help or offer advise?
