Do i have to charge my new phone before using it?

I have a new phone galaxy s7 do i need to charge before swithing on or using it?

Not necessarily. But if you plan on doing a data transfer from another phone it will take time to do it depending on how much data is being transfered. Most phones will require enough battery life to do a transfer.
