I have spent a lot of time researching this issue to no avail.
First off, I am new to Android. I am also not too technically savvy. So here it goes.
I download PDF files (newspapers, and magazines) from a website (avaxhome.ws) The files download OK however when I try to open them with any of the available options (Adobe reader, My library, Polaris office, Go Book and even other PDF readers) I get messages that the file cannot be open because it is not a valid PDF file or the file is damaged or a DRM protected file. None of the messages I believe are accurate since I am able to open the very same files from the same website on my laptop and on my Ipad 2.
However I am able to open other PDF files downloaded from other sites such as bills coupons etc.
Does anyone have any idea what may be causing this problem?
