Seems very minor and another point bump but man am I glad I kept this thing for the long haul. I am truly amazed at the effort being made by Asus to support their products! Anyone see any differences?

I've got a stupid question that is tangentially related. I have also been impressed by Asus's effort to get us ICS.

I just purchased a Prime. Long story short, I could sell it for a 20 dollar loss, and get an iPad, or maybe the rumored super display / better wifi prime later. Or, I could keep it. I almost feel like an idiot for keeping it (considering that it is soon to be superseded). But, I have grown rather fond of it.

So, I guess it isn't really a question about the device, but one about timing. Am I too late to the party, or has the party just begun? If someone were asking me this question about the iPad 2 today, I'd say they are too late (assuming they have needs like mine), but the Android market seems different...

Yep, for me it's totally corrected the random reboot issues i was suffering from the .14 update.

May seem minor to you but to me it so far feels like night and day. The .14 update was a nightmare of crashes, freezes and app crashes. I don't want to tempt fate too much but after the first few minutes bedding in when there was a bit of stutter, it has so far been running smoothly with (fingers crossed l)) no crashes yet. The only thing I have managed to crash is the new Chrome beta and that was nothing to do with the underlying OS. It is like having a new device again.

Only you can really answer that question. One thing to note though is that the Prime is not being superseded by the 700 and will continue to be part of the range of Asus tablet offerings. The 700 will be more expensive with different specifications and the Prime will carry on at the current price point. There will always be new technology around the corner but at some point you have to pull the trigger and get what suits your needs at the moment and get on with enjoying it.

Odd, 9.4.2.14 was very stable for me ... I guess it's very situational...

EDIT: I just installed the latest firmware and noticed something odd.... while the firmware version number went up in sequential order, the kernel version number seems to went backwards. I attached a screenshot album of 9.4.2.13 - 9.4.2.15:
[Only registered users can view links. ]

Basically this is how the kernel numbers went:
9.4.2.13: 2.6.39.4-00001
9.4.2.14: 2.6.39.4-00005
9.4.2.15: 2.6.39.4-00003

Seems like they rolled back the kernel revisions in this build, but bigger question is: does this affect the graphical bug fix which I assume is the updated NVIDIA Tegra graphics driver update ASUS promised in January...

EDIT 2: As usual, this update breaks root. Just re-root it with OTA Root Keeper.

I just got mine last week and I have to say I'm very pleased with it! You also should consider the fact that Apple will be announcing the iPad 3 pretty soon so if you got the iPad 2 you would be in the same position just different ecosystem.

On topic, haven't been playing with my Prime long enough to tell much of a difference yet but it's heartening to know Asus is working hard for us.

Amen ... that's tech life. There is always something better coming. Hmmm, applies to cars too

I updated it when the update came and I still have the reboot issue although it happens less frequently. I still have the graphical issues (most noticeable in the YouTube app) and the performance is a lot worse. Even when I run it in performance mode it is not close to the performance I used to have on balanced mode. I have been waiting a long time to see if they would come with another update, but no luck there. Wherever I search it seems to have fixed the issue, but I seem to be unlucky as usual. I really need help since I use it for school. Please help me.

Mine been running great for awhile. However, it is starting to act up. My n64 emulators keep shuttering and freezing and my other games are too! why is this happening? I've been using task manager to close them, should I trying exiting them correctly and rebooting each app to see what happens?
