I updated my phone its fine and the only thing thats sucks is i used to have the calendar with a calendar now i cant see it with the calendar it says no recent reminders and the date but when i click on it i see it as a full flegded calendar.

Overall its better get jelly bean

I think people are overreacting to some battery comments. I haven't seen any difference since the upgrade except for a bunch of cool new features. I haven't charged for 24 hours and I'm still at 82%.

I doubt you can stay on ICS forever. There will be continuing bug fix updates against JB and I doubt Verizon will want to support phones with an obsolete OS.

And some may disagree with me. If you keep the phone stock. Be careful disabling the stock apps.
I did the same thing, and it seemed afterwards.
My phone was constantly freezing up.
Maybe it's the phone or a coincidence. It got to a point where I had to do hard reset.
Your contacts and calendar will sync very well with your Gmail account.
Just update the OS, in my opinion. You will have more problems if you don't.
