I would so be grateful if someone could help me go back to stock from root. I put the xmas build on my phone and then rooted it, so I could wireless tether. Now I have no idea how to go back to stock. I had super user on my phone, and I unrooted through super user, then I uninstalled super user from my phone. Will now I can't get the damn update to go ahead on my phone, it comes up and says aborted, and then the phone reboots itself and boots back up to normal.

I am scared to use matts 1.82 utility cause I read that once on jellybean, you can't flash back to ics. And the 1.82 version I have, has no option to unroot the phone, guys, I just about ready to slam this damn phone up against a wall, curse and walk off. Please Help?

Just wait until someone puts the files online, download, and side load like you did before. If I remember right, you won't be able to update via OTA if you side loaded the update and would have to wait for someone to pull the files so you can side load those and be up-to-date.

I used Voodoo OTA Rootsaver to unroot, install the update and then reroot. I had no problems whatsoever. I can't say whether it's too late for you or not, but it might be worth a shot. I was able to update via OTA even though I had sideloaded the XMAS build and have been on JB since then.

I was getting this error on both my Razr Max for the new update and my Galaxy Nexus for the new 4.2.2 leak. I ended up having to flash both of them back to stock because I had removed all the Google bloatware and the updates kept failing. I know there are other solutions but this is the one that worked for me.

how did you go about flashing everything back to stock? See that's where I am drawing a blank right now. Do you use RSD Lite, one of matts utilities?

I'm with you on this. Getting a similar error but just related to slacker radio. It is because we remove these apps. I need to know how to revert to stock firmware.

Have you tried downloading the missing app through the play store and then trying again? You may end up needing to place the file is system/data but phone will have to be rooted again to do that. Try download first, if you haven't.

You need to move the app from the user directory to the system directory and that doesn't always fix it. The drawback is even if that works, it will fail on another app the same way if it was removed too.

See if you can find the previous official build for your phone and Download it. I would then go into recovery and wipe cache and Dalvik if possible and then reflash the old official ROM. Then take the OTA updates.

when you guys say " flash the old official build", does flash mean just putting the zip file onto the SD card and loading it through recovery?
