OK guys, in clock work recovery when you choose "backup/restore" you have two options. One option is to do a backup and the other is to do a nandroid backup. What is the difference?

Prior to flashing any romss (still on gingerbread) i did a backup. After I flashed a rom I attempted to flash another, but prior to flashing, I did a nandroid back up this time around. So what is the difference? Would I be able to go back to gingerbread or would I only be able to return to the point when I did a nandroid backup? Sorry for the wordyness.

I think you might have been using two different recoveries. Not a big deal as long as you go to back up and restore - back up (nandroid) it does the same thing and it is compatible across custom recoveries.

Thanks.

Ok so after rebooting into recovery,I realized that one is the option too backup your phone in you're internal storage and the other on your sd card, assuming you have one. My bad.
