I have "Sound on keypress" turned on in my Kindle Fire, system version 6.3.1. However, it is uniformly true across all applications that when I type text into an empty field, the first character I type is silent. The second, third, fourth, etc. make a keyclick noise.
Is this peculiar to the Kindle, or is this just the way Android works? Is it a bug or a feature, and if it's a feature, can anyone tell me the rationale?
