Old version of Google Search app?

Hi, I've recently updated to Jelly Bean and one thing really bugs me - the new style search app. When I was on Gingerbread it was fast and would open search results in my browser, meaning I could open multiple pages if I wanted to.

Since getting JB the results open in the Search app and I can only open one link at a time, and it is slower than it used to be. Does anyone know if there's a way of getting the old version back? I've started using a link on my homescreen to open the google webpage, but it's not ideal.

Welcome to Android Central! One thing that can slow down Google Search is if you have it set to search a lot of areas of your phone as well as the web. Open Google Search, tap Menu, then Settings, then Phone Search. Uncheck things that you don't care to search for. You might notice some improvement in speed.

Hi, thanks for the reply. I've already got it set to only search the internet I don't use Google Now so not bothered about all that, I'd just my old GB-style search back.
