I see that there are so many APK backup app in the Play Store. I am curious to know what is the good and free one to use for non rooted Gingerbread phone.

preferably able to upload to google drive, but if not, if I can save apk to micro SD card is ok as well.

Thanks.

Keep in mind free ones typically don't allow you to backup user data. It'll only backup the apk. Helium may be the exception, but it requires use of the desktop client to backup data. The other paid versions allow you to save app data so it's there when you restore it.

I use App Backup & Restore to back up the app (in apk form) and Helium to back up the data. Both to the external SD card, then to the cloud. (Not sure that Helium will run on GB, though.)
