Why is my Samsung Galaxy S2 GT 19100 screen staying black?

i dropped my samsung galaxy s2 GT 19100 and the screen stays black

it turns on and I can see a few pinpoints of colour. I have no way of getting another handset im remote until next week, any help so I can fix myself?

Welcome to Android Central! It sounds like the screen has failed. Does the phone otherwise sound like it's working? Do you hear it make any sounds, or does it vibrate? Have you tried booting into Recovery Mode? http://forums.androidcentral.com/sa...ing-into-recovery-mode-galaxy-s2-s3-tab2.html

If the screen has failed, you'd either have to replace it yourself (which means you have to obtain a replacement screen, of course), or bring it to a shop.
