Welcome to Android Central! Are you talking about popup ads, and only when browsing? Try going to Settings>Apps>All, select your browser, and Clear Cache/Clear Data. If it's Chrome, go to Chrome on your desktop as well and clear all of the browsing data and cookies from the beginning of time, since the phone's Chrome will sync with desktop Chrome. Now see if the problem persists on the phone.
