Moving Apps to SD Card

On previous Android phones I was able to move certain Apps from internal storage to the SD card. I'd just go to the Application menu in settings, click the app and there be a button "Move to SD."

On my newest phone, OS 6.0.1, the only available buttons are Uninstall, Disable or Force Stop. I understand that some of the system apps aren't movable, but the ones I'm trying to send to SD are just random appd I downloaded from the play store.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Its up to the developer to allow it. So not all apps can be moved to SD. You really wouldn't want to anyways, since SD is slower and less reliable than internal memory.

Curious... when you use SD card as internal memory / adoptable storage... what happens when the SD card corrupts (as they can do from time to time)? Does the OS have away to ignore the bad SD and just carry on? Do you just lose the apps?

Losing the use of the SD card should be a common expectation and thus should not crash the phone, assuming good programming.
That said, crashing the phone would not surprise me.
