Porting Language Dictionary to Gingerbread Keyboard?

Hi there,

I'm a relatively new Android user. Had tested out the EVO 4G back in January; now I have a Nexus S 4G, and I noticed that the Gingerbread keyboard doesn't yet have a Portuguese dictionary for text prediction and auto-correction. I downloaded the HTC IME keyboard, which does have a Portuguese language pack, but I actually prefer the Gingerbread keyboard. Thus, my question:

Is there any way to port or add the portuguese language pack/dictionary from the HTC keyboard (or from wherever) to the Gingerbread one?
