BBM in Play Store

I noticed that the BBM app is in the Play Store, is this the real app?? It says the maker is BBM and has Blackberry website link but not sure what the deal is. People are having trouble connecting and so am I. Didn't know if anyone tried or saw this.

Unless it says BlackBerry Limited in the companies name it is a fake.

It's funny cause it says the maker is BBM and it has the trademark symbol next to it. I assumed it was a fake but that threw me off.

Look at BlackBerry Balance and BES10 and 1 other official BlackBerry app and you will see the Company says BlackBerry Limited. If it doesn't than you know it is a dead giveaway of being a hoax.

This is fake. The email address given for the app clearly says this is spam. Besides, AC would have let us know within minutes of launch if this was the real thing.

I alerted AC about this and I just got an email from Phil. He confirmed the app to be "both a scam and a hoax".
So it's official folks: it ain't legit.
