Any success setting up Chromecast with hidden SSID?

I can't setup Chromecast on my Asus RT-N16 router with SSID set to hidden no matter what, it won't connect. It work after I unhide the SSID. Is there any settings I can change to make it work with hidden SSID?

Have you tried a factory reset on the chromecast? I don't have any problem connecting to my network with hidden SSID but someone else I know did and I reset their CC and it worked.

Mine worked fine with a hidden SSID for a week or so, and then mysteriously had trouble connecting. Since then I've had my SSID visible, but when I get home later today I'll try hiding it again and see if I can connect.

I never leave mine hidden. If you are worried about someone trying to boost your wif, rename it "black SUV out front with government plates"....
