I am traveling and the hotel requires a daily fee of $10 per device per 24 hours. So if I hook up my laptop that is one device. To hook up Chromecast would be device #2.

Also since I would have to go to a website to hook up Chromecast just doing it on laptop should work correct?

I am trying to get access to Netflix for the kids.

Also any idea how I would book up Roku box instead?

I purchased a travel wi-fi router. I havent used it yet but the concept is: plug it into the [usually free] cat 5 wired port in the hotel room then connect the CC and casting device to the wi-fi router.

Using the wired connection works as long as the hotel still provides one, many Marriott are pulling their wired connections.

Also one Hilton had some sort of system in place to detect person routers and prevented my Chromecast from connecting to the Internet.
