I've been reading that you can't use T-Mobile's extended network on their prepaid plan. Idk if it has been covered, but you can use their extended network. I'm using it right now. It's slow as Christmas, but it works.

What is the "extended network"? I am not familiar with the term.

Supposedly T-Mobile's prepaid plans permit voice roaming but not data.

I believe it's where T-Mobile bounces off other network towers. Here's a ss of the "E"

The "E" refers to an EDGE network (the 2G system used by T-Mobile), which is why you're encountering slow data speeds. The indicator you're seeing doesn't mean that you're roaming on another network's towers, but that you're connected to T-Mobile's 2G EDGE network.
