Can we flash this if we're on a custom ROM?

I have this same question. I'm assuming we can just flash it like any ROM though. Can anyone confirm? Just flash through CWM like its a custom ROM right? I wanna try stock again, but keep my root and maybe flash Franco again if the battery isn't any better.

Does it wipe my phone if I manually sideload the update?

I'm fully stock with locked bootloader if that matters.

No.. Must be flashed over stock, using stock recovery.

I have a back up on my phone made when I was stock if I flash that then flash this update will that work? Do I lose my apps or root etc?

Don't know if I should try out stock for a while or wait for AOKP to make some porn hmmm...

Damn, guess I gotta get back to stock if I want this, which is annoying.

What are the big differences though? Battery life is my main concern but I doubt anyone will notice anything on that front until q day or two.

Help Phil, I have a Nexus 4, with no roots or custom ROMs on it but I haven't received the update for 4.2.2... Is it going to come to my phone soon or do I need to contact Google? I have checked for updates and am curently running 4.2.1

No need to contact Google, it'll get to your device usually within the week unless they find a problem & pull it temporarily.
Or sideload it to update manually if you don't want to wait.

Has anyone tried to force the update?

I've tried with no luck about a dozen times & clearing the App Data from "Google Services Framework" just keeps screwing up my Location permissions, so I'll either wait til the end of the week or just sideload it.

I see was going to try myself but it seems is too early for that. I might side load it as well

I'm assuming that this is only for those who have unlocked and rooted their phone since I am not getting the phone to recognize the zip file as an OS update. I also am not getting an "Update Available" notice when I manually check in the settings for an update. Am I stuck waiting until my phone finally gets the OTA update or is there a way to use this zip file to do the update?

You don't have to be rooted to side load the update...I'm still running stock and did it late last night
