Default Visual Voicemail for Nexus 5 on AT&T?

I would like to install & use a "visual voicemail" app on my Nexus 5 (AT&T is my carrier). AT&T's visual voicemail app is available only pre-installed on its (AT&T-sold) phones. There is an AT&T Voicemail Viewer app, but it works only on certain phones.

Any suggestions for another app? I want an app that will handle voicemails, convert voice to text , etc. I would use Google Voice, but it appears that GV might be discontinued or maybe rolled into the confusing Hangouts app.

You can side load the APK for AT&T's visual voicemail and it will work fine with the Nexus 5 on AT&T. Just Goggle for the APK and install latest version.

The free version of YouMail is pretty good.

Yep, just Google it and side-load it for AT&T Nexus 5 users. Worked just fine for me. I guess AT&T only makes this available for AT&T locked phones on the Play store, for some odd reason.
