Is there any hardware reason why my Nexus 7 would have dramatically poorer voice recognition accuracy than my Nexus?

I can't compare with a Nexus phone, but I haven't noticed any real problem with voice recognition. You don't have either of the microphones blocked, do you?

Not really. But being a tablet, you have to handle it differently.

When you're ready, hold it really close to your face, wait 5 seconds.....

Then cluck like a chicken......:D

Sorry, that was just slilly, slidy, schticky, whatever.. Gonna go sober up now.;)

Hey if it would work I would try it! :) I will try holding it up closer to my face see if it does better. Actually, I am using it that way now and it does do better, but it just looks silly. Still you gotta do what you gotta do. :)

That was one of the things that really impressed me with the N7,how good the Voice recognition is.
