Default Post your Nexus 7 AndroBench score!

AndroBench is a free app that is a storage benchmarking tool.

I think it would be interesting to see what type of performance people are getting. Seeing as some people seem to suffer serious performance issues with their Nexus 7 and there are a few different models out there with different memory density/controllers and other variables. My scores seem very low compared to other devices in the database and I cant help but wonder if Asus used really low quality parts in the Nexus. In particular the Random Write performance seems shockingly low.

Copy and paste my list and edit for your own results

Hum, my scores are in line with what everyone else posted and my Nexus doesn't feel laggy at all, so I guess I should be content. But I'm still curios: Why are the scores so low anyway? Clearly the Nexus 7 isn't a particularly slow device under normal circumstances. Yet when you compare the results to the ones in the database, something seems very off. Is there an 'official' explanation for this?

    Hi.

Just take a look at mine - it's been unusable for months (eg 5-10 second hang while keyboard appears etc). I have encryption set so there's bound to be some slowdown, but I've had it set since day 1 and it used to be fine.

    Nexus 7 Model: 16 wifi

I've been reading up on the 4.3 TRIM stuff that's meant to appear after an hour, but I can't get it to appear in the adb log (ie I'm pressing the power button on the side to put the tablet into standby, connected to the Android monitor and watching the tty but no mention of trim after an hour).

    From an article on fstrim:

The Android framework will send out a “start idle maintenance window” event that the MountService listens for, and then invokes vold to fstrim filesystems when a few conditions have been met – the device hasn’t been touched for over an hour, no idle maintenance window event has been sent in 24 hours, and the device is either off-charger with 80% battery or on-charger with 30% battery. The goal is to have fstrim run roughly once every 24 hours if you’re in the habit of plugging the device in to charge every night.

Are you possibly affecting the necessary conditions?
