HDMI Input?

I seen at the store a hdmi to micro usb cable
My question is, if I were to purchase this cable, would there be any way to plug something(like a camera) into the hdmi end and view it on the tablet like I would be able to do with a TV?
I currently have a dslr controller for it, but would rather see what the camera sees as opposed to getting what the camera puts out through the usb

Unfortunately, from everything I have read and heard the Nexus 7 won't work either as a HDMI port in or out.
Using a OTG cable you can transfer files from various media sources like SD card and other usb devices.
