I miss the menu / settings button that I currently have on my S4. Is there a way to map the task button (bottom right) on the Nexus 7 (2013)? Thanks

Not that I've found in the 18 months that I've been wanting the same thing without rooting and installing a custom rom that supports that. CM rom, for example, does. It even allows you to add a fourth dedicated menu button.

It is true that some devices allow the remapping, but it is software the device manufacturer (possibly the carrier) has to bake into the version of Android they release for the device. I do hope I'm wrong, though...

if there is a menu available there will be a 3 dot near the recent button.

the frustration of that menu button is most app dont have any menu and sometime you press it and no menu option appears.
so whats the point in assigning recent to menu

I think the reference is to the menu softkey on the Samsung GS4, which is an app menu when you're in an app, but when you're on the home screen it's a menu with a few operating system entries like "Settings", "Nova Settings", "Task Manager", etc.
