OK Google vs Siri

I just received my Pixel Xl and have had issues with OK Google. I have used it very successfully in the past on Samsung and Moto phones, but it is not working nearly as well with the Pixel. I went though the set up voice training and selected the options as I have done in the past. It continuously says it can't understand me, it fails to wake up and it seems "Dumber" now vs the past when asking questions. I use to poke fun at my friends using Siri with her dumb or "no answers " , but having used the IPhone for the last few months she seems at the worst equal to the current version of OK Google, maybe better.
Anyone else having issues???

I haven't had any issues; what types of questions is it missing on?

I'm not experiencing any issues. Sometimes it doesn't hear me correctly, but I think it was my fault for not enunciating.

Mine works well too especially considering my heavy accent.

I never used Siri and this is my 1st experience with OK Google - I'm loving it - no issues yet.
