I always heard not to remove the backup assistant or it would cause problems.
I also know from experience, if you remove the "email engine" you will have problems with your google calendar (the other email stuff is fine to remove or freeze, just not the engine part)

The backup assistant I've had disabled since 2.2. As for the email engine, On 2.2 I didn't have issues however on 2.3 I couldn't add anything to my Calander. Had to turn that one back on s mentioned.

I am a Titanium Pro neophyte and have not been able to figure it out - how did you create your list?!?! I can't figure out how to do it or how to apply a filter. Please tell me your method!
Thanks in advance.

What is the name for the .apk for the 3g mobile hotspot I can not find it with root explorer? I like to go in and rename apk's to .bak's.

EDIT: I guess they have built in the 3g hotspot and it can not be removed... From what I have read it may be for monitoring tethering...

thank you so much for that starter list, i removed so much **** its almost scary. i also would add this tip: i dont "remove" anything, i simply add ".old" to the file name and it gets disabled. that way if something ever ****s up i can just go back and removed the ".old" and remember to reboot to see changes.

thanks so much to this forum for all the good advice and links to files.

I thought that may have been the case. Atleast my Ad Blocker is still working for some odd reason.. Thanks for the feed back!

To my knowledge there is no root method for the ota you would have had to flash the deodexed version to have root
