Backspace Key issues?

About 1/3 times I use the backspace key while typing, it isn't responsive and I have to keep pressing it. Does anyone else have this issue? Is it a software issue or could my phone have a defective screen? Thanks

Mine is good! Lol but I didn't find if I have it in landscape mode and my back button is on the left hand side I press it not meaning too! So now I always have the back button on the right and it solves my issue!

Have you tried another keyboard by chance?

No I haven't, I've played with keyboards on my dads nexus and I didn't find any I like more than the stock htc keyboard. :-\
