Evo3d Wont play nice with Medialink Router

For some reason when my Evo3D is connected to my medialink router that I just purchased for Charter Cable Internet, the default Time and Date automatically sets itself to Zhongshan, China +12 hours from my timezone. The issue only arises when I connect to my wireless network however it throws off the Evo3D clock and thus my alarm as well. Does anyone have any ideas how to fix it, i've tried changing the timezone on the router's site but that does not do anything.

I am about to try resetting back to factory defaults on the router and then going to try to upgrade the firmware, but after that I am all out of ideas.

I disabled Automatic (Use Network Provided Values) in date and time and this sort of works. I am back to the correct time and date. But is there any other way do fix this issue so that when i travel and cross timezones my phone will keep with the correct time?
