Cannot Return to Stock for the Life of Me

Hi guys, I am a poster over on the Samsung Fascinate Forum and I am trying to return my step-fathers phone to stock for him. He is rooted/running CM7 and we cannot get the RUU to work, it keeps saying USB connection problems and I have read countless threads on this and not getting it to work still :-\ His phone doesn't have HTC Sync on it but I do on my computer and I have the correct RUU. Help me please!!

Welllp after some tweaking I got the ROM image file to boot in bootloader instead. Thanks though!
