Hello Im a newbie and wanted to delete a lot of the "sprint" useless apps on my phone to free up memory but i want to know if I root the Hero will it void the warranty with sprint and can I root, delete the unwanted apps and then unroot the phone so assurion "the insurance company" wont b the wiser in the event my phone ever needs work later on.

Its pretty safe to root your phone at this point, and its really difficult to brick if you aren't going in and deleting things from adb shell that you don't know what they are. It also has a nice GUI that lets you install or uninstall stock apps with the simple click of a mouse.

You should also download the latest RUU from that site, that will let you flash back to stock, out of the box, if you want to return it to stock form.
