Transferring contacts to the HTC One?

I used to have an iPhone 3gs and I've read you just use the HTC Sync thing to transfer all your data. It requires you to plug in both the iPhone and the One but unfortunately my iPhone is just death...it's basically unusable and the reason why I bought a new phone. I have my stuff on my iCloud but I assume there might not be a way I can get stuff off there onto the One since it's purely an Apple thing? I'm mainly concerned about my contacts but if I can get anything else like photos and whatnot that'd be cool too. Any help would be appreciated but if there's really no way I can get my contacts guess I'll just spend an hour manually entering them in .

you can export the contacts from icloud as vcards then import them into google and sync.
