Super SU Installation Failed. How do I fix it?

re-root your phone.

If you do it with an one click app, download the lastest. And try again.

I'm trying to root my m8 for the first time and am experiencing the exact same thing..... It says there is no SU Binary installed and Supersu cannot install it. Any ideas why?

i have the same problem do you fix it? and how?

The only thing that worked for me was running Sunshine to get S off. Then I ran Kingroot (you can google the app) to get temp root and installed SuperSU.

After that I removed Kingroot and with S off and SuperSU it works fine on 5.0.1.

To get the kingroot.com you can either root through the android app or through the windows program.
The other application i have never heard of.

If all you want to do is root the phone Do this.

1- Unlock the bootloader through HTCDev https://www.htcdev.com/

2-Flash a custom recovery TWRP recommended https://twrp.me/Devices/

3- Flash SuperSU with TWRP recovery https://download.chainfire.eu/696/SuperSU/UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.46.zip

REMEMBER When unlocking the bootloader your data and internal storage will be wiped. Backup all your Pics music files and use htc backup to backup your system setup
