What's up with Verizon and no power saving mode?

The power saving and extreme power saving mode are not available yet and the first update did not add it. The S5 came stock with that on Verizon, what's the build-up?

No one knows really. But Samsung is positioning themselves much as Apple has with carriers, which to me is a good thing. That could mean updates direct from Samsung and no carrier bloat.
