Dialer app issues

Lately my dialer has been acting up where it will not allow me to call out at all. The only thing I've found that corrects it is rebooting the phone. Anyone else experiencing this?

Have you tried clearing the cache for the dialer app?

Same for me since the 4.4.4 update. Happens intermittently and rebooting is required.

I've seen that in the past on my phone. I did some digging and found the dialer is a service started by the people app. I have gone in there and cleared the cache of the people app and it seems to have helped. Good luck.

I'm also randomly having this issue. In addition to not being able to make calls, I can't receive calls or send texts. I haven't tested receiving a text.
After reading this thread and having the problem pop up again last night, I tried clearing the cache from the people app and the phone app, but this didn't help. I didn't see a dialer app. The only fix I've found is a reboot.
