How long do you think this phone will be up to date?

Or you could so what I used to do..cancel your current contract...go to the other carrier..Put your phone on Swappa or Ebay, and use that money to pay off the ETF :p

I'm not sure we'll see the next version of android at I/O. I would imagine they will wait until October/November and the next Nexus phone.

We'll see a 4.3 Jelly Bean update for Android. Key lime pie seems to be coming this fall with a new Nexus phone most likely.

If you are the type that always wants the latest, then the phone wont last 6 months, if you are the type that just wants a working phone then it will last as long as you want it too.

Lets be realistic. Everything is out of date before you take it out of the box. Just a fact of life in electronics.

I've been happy with the software updates on my S3 so far. I like the look of the HTC One. Let's hope they give the One decent support over the next 18 months at least. ;-)
