Issue with speaker phone

Hey I just got the new htc one and I love it! My only issue is mid call like literally every 45 seconds or so my phone's speakerphone is activated blasting me in my ear. I tried repositioning my phone the way I hold it but this only slightly alleviates the problem. Its driving me crazy this has never happened with any phone before - any ideas?

Is your phone's screen shutting off when you put it to your ear? If not, then it's the proximity sensor that may be bad. If so, then your phone may still be borked. I would try doing a factory reset first and if that doesn't help, then take that sucker back and get a new one!

On 4.2.2 based ROMs there was an issue with the proximity sensor, as mentioned above, and there is a fix for it right here: [MOD][XPOSED] Proximity Fix [1.0][HTC 4.2.2] - xda-developers

If you're not on a 4.2.2 based ROM or you don't actually have a problem with the Proximity Sensor, then ignore this post and pay a visit to HTC.
