Typical 3G download speeds

The other day, I used my wife's X and noticed that the internet was a lot faster on her phone. This prompted a speed test on both phones (using speakeasy's internet test). She got 2.00 Mbps down, .5 Mbps up, while I was getting .20 Mbps down, .15 Mbps up.

What are your typical 3G speeds, and if you have flashed radios, how has this affected them?

I just ran a speed test with the official Speedtest.net app and got 1.86 Mbps Down and .95 Mbps. I am currently running the 11.19 radio, but my speeds have always been around that range when I have a good signal.
