Hi. Long time since I have been browsing this site. I cannot find a page anymore that existed when I first purchased my Tbolt.
http://forums.androidcentral.com/th...ocedure-how-root-thunderbolt-adb-windows.html
I was wanting to perform an Over The Air (OTA) update, but since my phone is rooted using the procedure from the above link, I cannot. I instead get a red triangle with an exclamation point when the OTA reboots my phone and tries to install.
Reading through the forums I see that due to root I cannot do an OTA. It also seems that I need to unroot depending upon how I rooted my phone in the beginning. I do not recall how I performed it, so I was hoping the link I pasted would show me what files were overwritten, etc, so I could ask specific questions, but I am kind of lost. I just want to update my phone to 2.XXXXX.9 and can only find methods that describe the new way to do it, and new methods to unroot (some without data loss, which is awesome, because one thing I do remember is that the method I used required it to wipe the phone). if anybody can help, thanks much. I'll continue searching in the meantime.
