Just got my Nexus 5 today and am switching from ios. So I am sure there will be many questions on the way! Thank you in advance!

Congrats on the switch. We're here to help you.

The first thing I would recommend if you haven't already disabled it, is to make sure you login to your Apple Account and have your iMessage stuff disabled, or text messages will still flow through it and you won't be able to get text messages (assuming you've kept the same phone number). Apple holds your number hostage with iMessage unless you disable it.
