Please i need answer about root

I know if i root my phone i will not be able to update my phone using OTA
but if i root my phone can i update my phone using LG pc suite or it will be the same

i want to root my phone but i am afraid of loosing the way to get android L
update when LG release it i don't wanna update it using room

One of the first steps in the rooting process is to check whether the ROM has ever been rooted, If it has, the updating process stops. It doesn't matter whether you get the file over the air or download it from a forum, it's the same file, and the danger of updating a phone that's been rooted is the same. You have to flash a whole ROM if the phone is rooted, you can't update. (Then you have to root the new ROM, so make sure there's a root method for the new version if being rooted is important to you.)

BTW, why would you want L? Your phone works now. It may not if you update to L. (I haven't herd of a phone yet that hasn't had at least a few problems with a Lollipop update.) Pretty face or no bugs? Those are the choices. L has the "Material " look, but your current ROM works, and that's kind of important.
