Because it's your setup. The post calls for a screen shot of YOUR setup. Whatever that is. Doesn't mandate it be stock LG skin.

Nova Prime does up to 12x12. Not sure about the free version or other launchers.

Looking for a better email widget. One that only shoes unread email. Also can't wait for the widgets tho update to the 5x2 instead of the 4x2.
