Calendar alarms stopped

Recently my LG G3 from Verizon has stopped giving me calendar notifications (not Lollipop yet, or ever?). I switched calendar apps (from Calengoo to acalendar and even plain Google calendar) and I'll get a random notification, but for the most part, I won't. I get the email notification, but the notification/alarm on my phone has quit. I can't figure out how to get it working again. I do have notifications turned on and other apps and alarms work. It is just the calendar alarms that aren't working. I would really like to get them back.

I did a factory reset a few months back because my battery was draining and phone getting hot and unresponsive. The reset fixed those problems, but now no calendar alarms/notifications. Any suggestions?
