slow WiFi. why???

I've had the g4 about 3 weeks and have noticed when I do speedtests next to my 2014 moto g the moto shows faster speeds by quite a bit sometimes nearly double ( speed test.net app) even if I change the server still the same . WHY?
Also any idea what I think looks like an arrow point up ( may also be down ) which comes and goes inside the WiFi icon.

Up and down arrow is data download and upload.

What frequency are you on? Are you running the speed test at the same time?

No idea on frequency. I did the tests in various ways one after the other ,vice versa same time always moto faster.

Please read through the WIFI issues thread noted in the http://forums.androidcentral.com/lg-g4/544443-common-issues-solutions.html sticky; other people have reported that the G4 does better with 2.4GHz frequency than with the 5GHz, or that changing to a different 5GHz channel helps.

Check the thread listed above. If you are still having issues, let us know.

Probably need some more info though. What internet speed do you pay for? What router do you have? Does the router have both 5ghz and 2.4ghz bands? If so, do you have a SSID for both? Are you sure both phones are connected to the same SSID? I ask because sometimes my G4 auto connects to my 2.4 frequency. I usually don't notice unless I run a speed test or something where it's completely obvious.
