Anyway to get around the 4GB video file size limit?

Well I found out the hard way that the max file size the camera app would record is 4GB. That's about 30 min of 1080p and it will stop. I couldn't find a way to get around that. Anyone use a different camera app that does not have this limitation? Thanks.

Are you saving to SD Card? If so, you may need to re-format your card from FAT32 (the format that limits file sizes to 4GB) to exFAT.

The 4gig limit is a limitation of the FAT-32 file system. You need to format the card using a "bigger" file system that the phone still understands.

Most bigger camera systems work around this by stopping and immediately restarting with a new file.

In all honesty, if you are looking to do that much video recording, you probably want a dedicated video camera any way for the better video recording.

Ah I think I format the card using the phone's format option. I guess I will need to plug it into a computer and format it with the other system....
