Front Camera Stopped Working

Has anyone had problems with their front camera going black. For the last month my front camera has been getting worse and worse, to where now it's just black with some "bar coding" on the bottom. At first I thought it was the apps, but even in selfie mode through the camera app it won't work. I even tried a factory reset yesterday. My son has the same phone with no issues.

This sounds like a hardware issue... it should still be under warranty though, so contact your carrier or wherever you purchased the phone.. or even LG...

that 'bar coding' you saw is often a sign that the sensor array, or the connections, are failing.
