I have modified the email app so that (hopefully) if you configure an Exchange account, the remote wipe feature will not work. The remote wipe policy should be disabled.
I tested a remote wipe command from my Exchange account and it did not wipe it. It did stop syncing, but one I went into OWA and removed the device it was able to sync again.
