fashing rom on lg optimus s

Hi I'am new to this I have downloaded z4root 1.3.0 and have rooted my phone my problem is installing the flash and thunderc when it downloads i use astro to download the follwing the instructions from ksmith when I go to move the two things the flash will not copy and paste untill I move the thunderc but when I open android terminal and copy the codes to it I get error on every line and the $ at each line Help I'am lost Does any one on here live in the kc area that has don this?

U need to read/reread the thread on (how to) custom recovery. And thunderom.. Threads (sticky) ...u flash the rom. By going through recovery.... not with file managers.....
