dalvik to cache

to move dalvik to cache, are these the correct commands?

mv /data/dalvik-cache /cache/dc
ln -s /cache/dc /data/dalvik-cache

i am on stock rom and would like to move it but want to make sure i don't screw everything up in the process.

i also thought i put this thread in the hacks section but i guess not so if a mod could move this if needed.

well i tried it and was met with every force close in the book on restart.

The work was yours. Making sure Sprint material didn't ruin an Optimus, as per Intercept experience, was hardly much effort but something I did. And link to your original post... Of you need more credit I'd be happy to give it.
