Cant lock phone

I usually lock my v10 with a 4 digit numeric code. However on top of the other issues that I am having and which is why my replacement v10 is in the mail as I type this now this refuses to lock. When I double tap the screen I'm right into my phone! When I go to settings and security I no longer have the option to choose a pattern, pin, or password. This is depressing. If someone gets my phone I don't even have the peace of mind of knowing that at least if my phone is stolen they can't access every aspect of my life. Oh and if this helps ..I just did a factory data reset yesterday :/..this is my 3rd LG, and my 8 android and I am done.

When you say you can't select your security, is it grayed out? Do you happen to have smart settings on? Do you have a bluetooth device connected? A snap shot of your lock screen settings would be helpful.

Go to lock screen option under the device section. It's above the finger scanner in settings.

When you are on the Fingerprint & Scanner menu, go back one step. Scroll up and you will see 'Lock Screen'. It's in the first Settings window. I will provide screen shots later today if you need it.
